Steps to Follow:
Make a happy birthday poster by hand.
Step 1: Pick Your Poster Size.
Choose a size that will best fit your poster layout. I chose a vertical layout for my bowling poster. Gather a bowling ball and bowling pin clip art images and cut them out.
Step 2: Pick a Background Color.
You want the color to enhance, but not overpower your information or clip art images. I chose a yellow poster board.
Step 3: Add a Title.
Cut a curvy shape out of light blue paper and lay it out on the poster board. Cut squares of colored paper for each letter in the name. Make sure the black quick letter fits within each square. Then outline the squares with black poster marker to give them a frame. Lay them out on the poster. Lay out YOU BOWL US OVER with 2” black vinyl letters and jumbo purple letters layered with random color jumbo letters.
Step 4: Add Images.
Now you can lay out your bowling bowl image and the bowling pins. A fun idea is to have everyone sign a bowling pin with their birthday wishes.
Step 5: Add Shapes.
Add neon burst eye catchers behind some bowling pins for a cute effect.
Step 6: Once you are happy with your layout, you can glue everything down. |
