Steps to Follow:
To make this poster by hand:
- Start with a piece of ArtSkills neon yellow poster board and lay it out vertically.
- Add the first part of your title, "MRS. NICK'S CLASS," horizontally along the top of your poster using ArtSkills Vinyl Poster Letters. Leave room on either side of your wording to put ArtSkills Eye Catchers later on and remember to substitute "MRS. NICK'S" with your name.
- Add the second part of your title, "SCHEDULE," down the left side of your poster vertically using ArtSkills Vinyl Poster Letters. Keep each letter's orientation upright and leave room on either side of your wording to put ArtSkills Eye Catchers later on.
- Next to "SCHEDULE," list your activity hours progressing vertically downwards with red ArtSkills Quick Stick Foam Letters.
- Add "HAVE A NICE DAY!" horizontally along the bottom of your poster with blue ArtSkills Quick Stick Foam Letters. Make sure you are leaving a blank space underneath "SCHEDULE" to place an ArtSkills Eye Catcher later on.
- To make your schedule text box, cut two same size vertical rectangles out of a piece of black paper to fit in the empty space on the right hand side of your poster. Now, cut another slightly smaller vertical rectangle out of a piece of white paper. Center the white rectangle on top of one of the black rectangles and glue it down. Center this on top of the other black rectangle, then move it up and to the left a bit to create a drop shadow effect. Glue these together, and then glue the whole thing down on your poster.
- Add your schedule vertically along the left-hand side of your text box using small ArtSkills Vinyl Poster Letters. Be sure to line up each activity with the corresponding time to the left.
- Find some school-related clip art images you like, print and cut them out, and glue them down to fill up the empty space in your text box.
- Add three neon blue flower shape ArtSkills Eye Catchers to your poster in the empty spaces you left around the two parts to your title.
- Great job! Your poster is now complete.
