Steps to Follow:
To make this poster by hand:
- Start with a piece of ArtSkills white poster board and lay it out horizontally.
- Line the entire edge of your poster with neon blue scallop borders. To make these, cut the scallop design shown in the poster picture above out of a piece of ArtSkills neon blue poster board using an ArtSkills Poster Knife. Exercise caution when cutting.
- Add the first word of your title, "STAR," to the top left corner of your poster (but not overlapping your borders) using black ArtSkills Black and White Poster Letters beneath random color ArtSkills Neon Poster Letters. Before adhering, move the top letters up and to the left a bit to create a drop shadow effect, then tilt the letters as shown in the poster picture above. Finish off your title next to this using black ArtSkills Black and White Poster Letters beneath yellow ArtSkills Neon Poster Letters. Move the top letters up and to the left a bit before adhering to create a drop shadow effect.
- Leave some blank space below your title (you will soon add pictures here), then add your name using black ArtSkills Black and White Poster Letters beneath random color ArtSkills Neon Poster Letters. Move the top letters up and to the left a bit before adhering to create a drop shadow effect.
- Print out pictures of you at six different ages. Cut these out and glue them down to random color paper or poster boards. Using an ArtSkills Poster Knife, cut these out leaving a small border around the images. Remember to exercise caution when cutting. Glue these down surrounding your name in chronological order clockwise. Tilt some of them randomly.
- Add a random color neon star ArtSkills Eye Catcher slightly overlapping each picture. Then, add a random color neon directional arrow ArtSkills Eye Catcher pointing to and slightly overlapping each picture.
- Using small ArtSkills Vinyl Poster Letters, add your age in each picture on top of the directional arrow pointing to it.
- Way to go! Your poster is now complete.
