Steps to Follow:
To make this poster by hand:
- Start with a piece of ArtSkills white poster board and lay it out horizontally.
- Find a chalkboard clip art image you like for your background. Print it out to fit your poster board edge-to-edge and glue it down when you find the right positioning.
- Add your title, "THANK A TEACHER!," centered on your poster with two layers of yellow ArtSkills Jumbo Neon Poster Letters. Move the top letters up and to the left a bit before gluing them down to create a drop shadow effect.
- To create a text box below your title, cut out a square of white paper to fit vertically in the bottom third of your poster. Next, cut out a square of orange paper a bit smaller than the white square using ArtSkills Edging Scissors. Glue down the orange square centered on top of the white square, and then glue this to the bottom center of your poster.
- Add your text box wording, "AMERICAN EDUCATION WEEK NOV. 15-21," within the orange square using ArtSkills Vinyl Poster Letters.
- Find some school- and chalkboard-related clip art images to fill the empty spaces on your poster. Print and cut them out, then glue them down around your poster.
