Steps to Follow:
To make the Layers of the Sun on the Poster Wizard:
Step 1: Pick Your Poster Size.
Choose a size that will best fit your poster layout. I chose a horizontal poster because it’s easier to display larger images and information about the layers of the sun. Gather your clip art images of the sun and sunglasses and upload them.
Step 2: Pick a Background Color.
You want the color to enhance, but not overpower your information or clip art images. I kept the background white to allow my information and images to stand out.
Step 3: Add a Border.
Before I add my title or any pictures or information, I decide if I need a border to highlight or unify my theme. I added an orange wavy border to the top and bottom of my poster and moved it in a little bit so that it would show under the other border. Then I added a gold holographic wavy border to the top and bottom of my poster, but still allowing a little of the orange wavy border to show through.
Step 4: Add a Title.
This is the main point I want to get across. This is where you want to grab attention so be creative and reinforce your poster’s theme. I used black quick letters for “Layers of the” and then added orange quick letters on top for a drop shadow effect. I then added the word SUN using purple quick letters in a little larger size and layered random color quick letters on top for a drop shadow effect. You will also have to adjust the sizes.
Step 5: Add Images.
Now you can add your images of the sun and the sunglasses. You may have to “send them to the back” to make your information stand out.
Step 6: Add Text Boxes.
Add your information for each of the 4 main layers of the sun as text boxes, deciding on a background color or font that will best enhance the theme of your poster. Adjust the text box sizes to keep your layout neat.
Step 7: Add a Title.
To identify the individual layers of the sun, I used blue foam letters. You may have to adjust their sizes. I also added a subheading, 4 Main Layers, over the sunglasses clip art image using black vinyl letters.
Step 8: Add Shapes.
Now is when you can add your creative elements to your poster. I added random color neon star shapes to fill in open spaces.
Step 9: Now you are ready to SAVE and FINISH.
When you are finished, your poster will be sent to you by email. Then you can decide how you would like to print out your poster. |
