These carrot “Bunny Treats” are a charming springtime craft featuring carrots shaped from aluminum foil, wrapped in jute, and painted a pretty orange color. Each carrot is topped with a sprig of delicate fern greenery, making them a delightful decoration for Easter baskets or seasonal displays.

Let's Get Started

STEP 1:

A)    Shape the aluminum foil into a carrot shape.

B)    Poke a hole into the top of the aluminum foil carrot with scissors.

C)   Put a dab of hot glue in the hole and then insert a sprig of fern greenery.

D)   Your carrot shape is made.

STEP 2:

A)    Apply hot glue to the foil carrot.

B)    Wrap jute around the aluminum foil carrot, beginning at the bottom. Tip: Leave a piece of jute hanging off the end of the carrot to resemble the root.

C)   Continue to wrap the jute around the aluminum foil carrot, using the hot glue to secure it in place, until you reach the top.

D)   Your jute carrot is made.

STEP 3:

A)    Add a small amount of water to the orange paint to thin it. Mix together.

B)    Paint the jute carrot. Let dry.

C)   Your carrot is made!
