A) Remove the glass and cardboard back from the frame.
B) Place only the cardboard back into the frame. Turn the frame around to the front to begin the artwork.
A) Use tacky glue to adhere a single row of black beans to the cardboard back around the perimeter of the frame opening.
B) Continue adhering black beans until the whole perimeter is framed.
A) Use tacky glue to adhere great northern beans to the cardboard back. Use the beans to make circles, creating flower shapes.
B) Make flower circles in different sizes, as well as some smaller “flower bud” shapes.
A) Use tacky glue to adhere sunflower seeds to the center of a flower circle.
B) Use tacky glue to add sunflower seeds to another flower circle, if desired.
A) Use tacky glue to adhere black beans to the center of a flower circle.
B) You can create variety by adding black beans to the center of a flower circle that already has sunflower seeds, if desired.
A) Use tacky glue to adhere popcorn kernels inside the flower bud shapes.
B) Use tacky glue to adhere popcorn kernels inside the flowers, filling in the empty spaces.
A) Cut craft cord to make stems for the main flowers. Adhere with tacky glue.
B) Adhere a few sunflower seeds to the stems to create leaves.
A) Use tacky glue to begin adhering dried lentils to the background of the artwork.
B) Continue adhering dried lentil beans to cover the remaining exposed cardboard.
