Painted Glass Art
Create a vibrant, late-summer craft by painting sunflowers on the glass of an 8" x 10" picture frame. This easy and cheerful project brightens any space with the beauty of hand-painted blooms.

Let's Get Started

STEP 1:

A)    Print the templates.

B)    Take apart the frame and discard the insert and cardboard back. You will only need the glass and the frame.

STEP 2:

A)    Place the glass over the template labeled “Black lines on front of glass.” Make sure the glass sides line up with the border box on the template. Use tape to secure the glass in place.

B)    Carefully trace the lines with the black paint marker.

C)   Let dry.

STEP 3:

A)    Make a mixture of paint and glue for the colors that you would like to use.

B)    The ratio should be approximately one tablespoon of glue mixed with one teaspoon of paint.

STEP 4:

A)    Flip the glass over to the back and place it on the template labeled “Paint on back of glass.” Make sure the glass sides line up with the border box on the template. Use tape to secure the glass in place. Note: The lines will be slightly offset.

B)    Paint the design using the template as a guide.

C)   Let dry.

STEP 5:

A)    Place the glass back in the frame, with the black lines facing the front.
