Paper Heart Art

STEP 1:

A)    Remove the jute hanger from the wood shape.

STEP 2:

A)    Make a light paint wash by mixing white paint with water.

A)    Apply the light paint wash to the wood shape. Let dry.

B)    The wood shape is now complete.

STEP 3:

A)    To make a paper rose, cut a square from the cardstock. Tip: Cut various sizes of squares to make assorted sizes of paper roses.

B)    Start at the outside of the square and cut a spiral towards the center. Cut off and remove the paper outside the spiral.

C)   Roll the spiral from the outside towards the center.

D)   Add hot glue to the tab at the center of the spiral to secure the paper rose.

STEP 4:

A)    Make an assortment of colors and sizes of paper roses.

STEP 5:

A)    Hot glue the paper roses to the wood in the shape of a heart.

STEP 6:

A)    Tie a ribbon bow around the wood board so it crosses the bottom of the paper heart.
