A) Print out the templates. Note: You will need to print about 2 to 3 sheets of the text-patterned paper.
B) Cut out the paper heart template and trace it onto a piece of cardboard.
C) Cut out the cardboard heart.
A) Trace the cardboard heart onto the back of the gold glitter paper.
B) Cut out the gold glitter heart.
C) Use tacky glue to adhere the gold glitter heart to the cardboard heart.
D) The heart base is now made.
A) Cut a bunch of assorted size hearts from the text patterned paper. To do this, cut strips, and then squares, from the text-patterned paper template.
B) Fold a square in half.
C) Cut out half of a heart shape along the fold in the paper square.
D) Unfold to reveal the paper heart shape.
A) Use the gold marker to highlight the edges of the paper text hearts.
B) Use the hot glue gun to adhere the paper text hearts to the gold glitter heart base. Keep the hearts flat as you adhere them to the base. Tip: Keep the paper text hearts slightly away from the edge of the gold glitter heart.
C) Cover the majority of the gold glitter heart base with the paper text hearts.
D) Note: Remember to keep the first layer of paper text hearts flat.
A) To give the second layer of paper text hearts dimension, apply hot glue along the fold on the back of the paper text heart and adhere it to the base, keeping the sides elevated.
B) To make gold heart accents, fold a piece of gold glitter paper in half and sandwich a paper text heart around it. Cut out a glitter heart just slightly larger than the paper text heart. Glue them together along the fold.
C) Cover the heart base with the dimensional paper text hearts.
D) Note: Remember to keep the hearts dimensional on this layer.
A) Apply tacky glue to the wood letters.
B) While the glue is wet, sprinkle wood letters with glitter. Let dry.
C) Hot glue the letters to the heart base.
D) Hot glue a small gold glitter heart to the center of the wood heart “O” in LOVE.
A) Hot glue a ribbon hanger to the back of the heart wreath.
